Travel Days:
ARRIVE - Friday, September 22nd in Deadwood SD
RETURN - Wednesday, September 27th
Riding Days:
Saturday 23rd
Sunday 24th
Monday 25th
Tuesday 26th
Camping Location:
Saturday - Crazy Horse Campground site 308 (has water and electricity). $30 per night and have room for 3 tents. Firewood is available for $7 bundle. They also said they could scrounge up some chairs so we can sit by the fire.
Sunday - Edgemont Campground $20 per nite, has shower and for $5 more, electricity. No camp fire, so I'm open to finding something else on the way.
Another option is to ride into Hot Springs SD which is another 15 miles, but it seems like a pretty cool town with several camping options:
#2 choice - Hot Springs - Hidden Lake Campground $30, has everything including fire pit - this one sounded the best to me.
Hot Springs - Sunrise Ridge Campground $24.30 with electricity, no personal campfire, only a communal one with free firewood.
#1 choice - Hot Springs - Allen Ranch Campground $30, need to call 605.745.1890 and check on firewood/firepit. Looks like the best campsite since it's next to a river
Monday - Crazy Horse Campground site 308 (has water and electricity).

Miscellaneous Trail Information:
It costs $15 annual fee or $4 per day to ride the trail. It can be purchased here - annual pass. The trail pass can also be purchased at several places in Deadwood:
Chamber of Commerce
Deadwood Visitor Center
Black Hills Inn & Suites
An event going on called "Mickleson Trail Trek" from the 15th - 17th which starts in Edgemont and goes to Deadwood. We will see a lot of cyclists on Sunday, but hopefully it won't be too bad. Event details. This won't be a problem now since we moved the trip back a week.
On Saturday the 23rd there is also a cycling even called Rails to Ales. This is a ride from Hill City to Custer. Looks like we will run into some cyclists since we will be camping on the north side of Custer.
